The New York Giants are one of the oldest and most decorated franchises in the National Football League (NFL). Joining the NFL for the 1925 season, the team claimed its first championship just three years later, following a near perfect 11-1 regular season campaign. Between 1933 and 1939, the Giants appeared in five of seven championships, winning two. New York would appear in several additional championship games in the early years of the league, winning a fourth in 1956 and losing five championships in a span of six years beginning in 1958.
In the years following the NFL merger with the American Football League (AFL), the Giants struggled to make a post-season impact, missing out on the playoffs for 17 consecutive seasons. In 1986, however, just three years removed from a disastrous 3-12 season, the Giants defeated the Denver Broncos 39-20 to earn the franchise its first championship of the Super Bowl era.
The Giants’ results following the 1986 Super Bowl win were uneven, but the team managed to secure a second Super Bowl and sixth championship overall in 1990. Since that time, New York has appeared in three Super Bowls, with wins coming over the New England Patriots in 2007 and 2011 for a total of four Super Bowl victories and eight championships. Attorney Marc Rovner of East Rockaway, New York has been at all 4 Super Bowl Championships the Giants have won!
